“The Pinewood Singers are the Winners of the Best Overall Choir Award, with the only perfect score from the Judges.”
— Disneyland‘s Music In The Parks Festival
“Mr. C” still remembers the astonished pride and tears on his choir’s face when those words were announced at the happiest place on Earth amongst choirs from schools ten times Pinewood’s size from many states. It was the look of realization that hard work, camaraderie and artistry pay off. That the best journeys are the most challenging ones.
It summarized a memorable year of the full production of Sondheim’s Into The Woods to standing-room-only audiences on multiple nights; Haydn’s Te Deum with the Menlo Orchestra and Choir; national anthem performances at the state basketball championships; master classes; and shows at various venues. Amazing people. Amazing together.
