“Through all of his artistic endeavors, Cullinan delivers a pro-music
message that is creative, educational and fun.”

Cory Cullinan is very bad at slowing down.

Cullinan’s a Stanford Music grad, recording artist as Cory Cullinan and Doctor Noize, commissioned composer for stage and screen, author, app creator, teacher, speaker, studio owner, philosopher and goofball.  Known for his breadth and sophistication as a composer, he’s equally adept at writing pop songs, children’s songs, soundtracks, musical theatre, and full orchestral and operatic works performed by major orchestras and Grammy-winning opera stars. He has chart hits in three decades and songs in major movies. His latest theatrical commission, for a modernized Sleeping Beauty, premieres next year.

Beyond composing, Cullinan’s known for his meticulous and artful work as a music and multimedia producer for both himself and other artists who loves seeing creations through to the highest standards.  He studied and worked at Stanford’s legendary electronic music department, earned a Master’s in Recording Arts from University of Colorado Denver, and designed and constructed his own five-room dream music and video production facility, Reach Studios — complete, of course, with an indoor soccer field.  He literally lives there.

A lifelong student and teacher, he runs the acclaimed summer Recording Arts program at Stanford University; he’s the former full time Director of Music Technology & Recording Arts at Regis University; a former Recording Arts professor at University of Colorado Denver; and former award-winning high school Arts, Communication & Technology Department Head at Pinewood School. He teaches Workshops and Artist In Residencies for both adults and children. He was elected to the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy (best known for running the Grammys) and currently serves on the international boards of the Children’s Music Network and Stanford Alumni for Climate Action.

As a live performer, Cullinan tours nationally as both Cory Cullinan and Doctor Noize, playing everything from acoustic shows, to his insanely popular virtuosic one-man-band live audience interaction loop recording shows (he sings and plays many instruments), to his revolutionary symphony shows introducing newcomers to the orchestra.  He’s a musical entrepreneur who fuels himself with inspiration from his wide diversity of music and teaching projects and interactions, and cannot wait to write the next piece or tutor the next great recording artist.

Cullinan’s wife Janette is a blind corporate trailblazer and the most amazing person he’s ever met; they raised two action/adventure superhero daughters, Sidney Grace (a multimedia writer, director and producer and senior at UCSB) and Riley Max (a recording, performing and visual artist and sophomore at Harvard). They’re from Silicon Valley but make their home in Colorado.
