“I want to deeply thank you, Cory, and CCRMA for one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever been blessed with. I have never encountered a more passionate, supportive, and talented group of people. More than ever I feel comfortable leaning into my career as a musician and who I want to be as a person, and that is in great part thanks to the program and environment you created for all of us. Being surrounded by such a vast array of styles and human beings made me feel at peace and at home, and I cannot ever thank you enough for that.”
— Sean Guenther, Stanford Recording Arts Workshop 2024 student
Thank you Sean. This year’s talented class of 17 students made this double album in two weeks! The process involved both writing and composing new pieces and completing and mixing works-in-progress; a fun blend of hands-on lectures and recording and mixing sessions; heartfelt conversations about what it means to be a musician and how to navigate the music industry; and, of course, time for shenanigans and making meaningful connections with everyone in the room. Riley Cullinan and Elizabeth Anaya were Teaching Assistants. Enjoy!
