Soundtracks

New for 2009!… Download my free album, Soundtracks. Then simply drag the Soundtracks folder it creates into iTunes or your favorite music player. That’s it! And click here to read my composer’s liner notes on the tracks. Enjoy, and thank you all for your support of both Doctor Noize and Cory Cullinan.  A brief intro is below…

I’ve composed soundtracks for documentary films on PBS and at festivals worldwide like the Sundance Film Festival, songs heard in mainstream films and TV shows, and music for various other multimedia purposes. Click on each title below to hear highlights or download them all above.

Perhaps my favorite of all the soundtracks I’ve composed for filmmaker Kristen Nutile, with the great Nathan Rubin on fiddle. Captures a piece of Americana that’s rapidly disappearing.

Another great Kristen Nutile film with deep personal meaning to both filmmaker and composer. Examines grief and memory years after the death of a father from a brain tumor.

Animated short film by Christian Lowe, Doctor Noize’s artist and animator. He specifically requested “’80’s Power Cheese.” Undaunted by groupies, I channeled my inner Whitesnake and yelled the vocals really loud.
  • Air Force Vectors
Composed for an Air Force training video. They requested something “masculine but technological.” And you know I’m all about that.
  • The Bad News
This live recording — the title song of my next album — has already appeared in various incarnations in the films and television shows below. A horn section will be added to the album version.
