Don’t try to leave me now
I’m not close to understanding how we fare
We float and we will seek
And we’ll never be concrete
And so we must share
Chorus:
Oh without you
I look through these eyes with true but distant care
Oh without you I’m alone
Now it’s deceiving
Although we seem so far apart
Well, we’re not so grand
But I’m plagued with narrow vision
I build a selfish wisdom where I stand
(Chorus)
Deep within you
Deep without you
Is more than I understand
Don’t banish me to my own land
My only sight is from these eyes that are my own
It’s so good to be alive Feels so good to be alive I reach beyond my mere existence Don’t let me take all that I can Make me about this coexistence One by hand in hand |
Share my soul Share my soul . . . . |
You see it’s fine that we’re alive Yeah you’re so good to be alive I want a smile that’s more than pleasure I want a smile that understands Yeah but we’ll start with just a smile And make it what we can |
Share my soul Share my soul Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Share my soul . |
So help me stretch this mind To a place that’s not my own And let me stretch this smile Past my reach and past my own You know I’m hardly alive If I’m locked inside |
Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Come share my soul . |
I’m tiny, so tiny It’s so cute, so come find me Yeah I’m tiny But I’m shining when I touch you |
So tiny . . But I’m shining |
I field a tiny little vision With my tiny little eyes I’m thinking tiny little thoughts Within my tiny little mind I’ve got a tiny little notion That to keep me alive I should keep movin’ |
Come Share my soul Come Share my soul Come Keep me alive I should keep movin’ |
Reach into me ‘Cause it fills me with life When we reach for each oh |
. . When we reach for each other |
I am reminded two are one
If you should dive into my mind or catch my eye
And I reform
So don’t give me definition
Don’t let me rest tradition in my arms
Oh without you
I look through these eyes with true but distant care
Oh without you I’m alone
Without you
I look through these eyes with true but distant care
Oh without you I’m alone
Without you
I look through these eyes with true but distant care
Oh without you I’m alone
I’ve got a feeling that without you I would have no home (I’m alone) And I’d be oh… I’d be alone . . . |
Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Got to share my soul yeah Come share my soul Come share my soul Come share my soul |

Notes
The organ part was recorded in an unconventional way on this song. I played the keyboard part and the fantastic Bay Area organist Tony Stead rode the organ drawbars to breathe life into it, because I’ve never learned how to set and use the drawbars on a traditional organ.
