I greatly admire your energy. Your public performance looks not only effortless but also authentic. You display warmth and charisma, putting the audience completely at ease. You have no idea just how much I admire that. I’m sure it’s the result of no little effort and practice, but it also seems to come from deep, because you care. Thanks for bringing the positive.

Playing on this interactive and contemplative nature, the piece was premiered live in San Jose, CA in the summer of 2024, with Dr. Chowning in attendance. Cory dedicated it to him and said he’d always wanted to finish it in Chowning’s class. At the end of the piece, his former professor shouted humorously from the crowd: “Cory, you did it!” Among other things, the interactive version of the piece allows audiences to experience the observation that they shape their own environment.

When we’re not in a pandemic, Cory can often be found touring the country playing shows and workshops… where he’s known for playing a host of instruments and loop recording them live on the spot with the help of audience interaction.

The Cory Cullinan family of Colorado decided that since they’re stuck at home together, why not write and perform the Stay At Home song? His song delivers a message… Musical relief for the tens of millions of Americans hunkered down at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Cory, Riley and Sidney: This piece is crazy great. I love that you made it together, yet in each of your own ways… apart. The scary dystopian feel of the static sounds, Matrix-like visuals and vocal/orchestral build keep you poised on a precipice — like the one we are all standing on — yet at the same time keeps you grounded — to say nothing of the images that rise beyond the tide of our media’s shock and awe, leaving our shared humanity in its wake and very much alive. Bravo and Bravas!

Man, 2025 Alive is deep. I love it, and I love that you and your daughters created it. I completely understand the sadness and exhaustion of being a new empty nester in chaotic times; my daughter left for college in the middle of 2020. It gets easier, and you have amazing kids. That’s the trade off, right? They keep growing, and by necessity, growing further away. But your pride in them and your vicarious travels almost make up for their absence. Almost….Keep it up, bud. I appreciate you.

Cory Cullinan is a multifaceted artistand established producer. His new project, 2025 Alive, isn’t just a song; it’s a multimedia experience in collaboration with his daughters Riley Max (songwriter) and Sidney Cullinan (filmmaker). This work reflects how strange, complex, and challenging it is to be alive in 2025.I was captivated by how the piece doesn’t need a linear narrative to be impactful. The structure is free, almost meditative, but at the same time unsettling. It’s an introspective journey where every second matters. The collaboration with his daughter Riley Max brings a special warmth. And yes, it feels like a generational conversation in musical form.Listen and follow their journey. If you’re looking for a piece to shake you out of your musical rut, Cory Cullinan’s 2025 Alive is the jolt you need.
